Refugee Week Talks

Murmurations Sculpture at Ulster American Folk Park
Date
20th to 23rd June

The 20th of June marks World Refugee Day, designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe. To mark World Refugee Day and the wider Refugee Week there will be a series of informal talks held at Ulster American Folk Park from 20th to 23rd June. The Talks will be given by our Curator of Emigration at the Murmurations sculpture, which sits outside the entrance to the folk park. The sculpture reflects the links between Ulster and America, with a particular focus on migration. The curator will talk through some of the elements within the sculpture, and what it has to say about newcomers, migrants and refugees past and present.

Talks will take place between 14:30 and 16:30 and are free to attend as entry to the museum is not required.
