To keep the Bluegrass Omagh celebrations going, we’re hosting a very special Bluegrass Family Day on Bank Holiday Monday, 29th May. Join us for a fun filled programme of music and activities for the whole Family to enjoy.

There’ll be performances from festival musicians, singing workshops for children, a magician, traditional games and pastimes from Appalachia to provide hours of fun and entertainment. We’ll also have a wide selection of themed food and drink offerings for you to enjoy amongst the log cabins, snake-fenced paddocks and thatched roofed cottages of the Museum!

Songs with Tom Sweeney

Performances at 11.30am, 2.30pm and 4.00pm.

Born into a musical household in Omagh, Co.Tyrone, Tom Sweeney has been singing for as long as he can remember. A far travelled balladeer, song writer and storyteller, Tom’s performances at the Ulster American Folk Park are always enjoyed by those who have the good fortune to see and hear him. He has performed in the United States, Canada, across Europe, the UK and Ireland. On bank holiday Monday 29 May, in the unique setting of the Ship & Dockside Gallery he will perform a series of sessions especially for our younger visitors as well as those of us who remain young at heart! Be sure to get along and spend a while in the company of one of this island’s true music and song ambassadors.
