Bluegrass Omagh 2023 will take place at Ulster American Folk Park, 2 Mellon Road, Omagh, BT78 5QU. Find out more here.

Bluegrass Omagh 2023 will take place on Saturday 27th May and Sunday 28th May. There will also be an opening event on Friday 26th May at the Silverbirch Hotel.

On the Saturday and Sunday, Ulster American Folk Park will be open from 10:00, with performances starting from midday. The usual visitor experience will be different due to the festival, so those coming in for 10:00 should be aware of this. Check out our festival opening times below;

There are 4 stages located at various different locations across the site. 

The Bluegrass Omagh Early Bird Ticket offer ended on the 31st March, you can browse remaining ticket options here.

Children under 5 are free, and carers can also gain free admission. To book a carer ticket for Bluegrass Omagh 2023 please email info@nationalmuseumsni.org. 

We have a number of different ticket options for Bluegrass 2023, including family passes, day passes, weekend passes, and free tickets for children under 5 and carers. 

For those purchasing a weekend festival ticket, this also includes access to our Bluegrass Family Day on Monday 29th May!

Yes, however we recommend that you buy tickets in advance as we cannot guarantee tickets will be left to purchase on the day.

We ask that under 18s are accompanied by an adult when attending the Bluegrass festival.

We allow children aged 5 and under to be admitted free of charge.

An email confirmation will be sent to you electronically when you make your purchase. You can either show this on the day digitally, or print out a physical copy and bring it with you. 

HMRC has deemed free admission at events to be an additional benefit to members and therefore we are unable to offer priority booking for members as a result.

Guests who have ONE of the following documentation are entitled to one free carer ticket along with their full-price ticket. Any additional members of the party will need a to purchase a full price ticket. Please show the relevant paperwork as well as suitable photo ID of the named recipient at Ticket Sales & Collections on arrival at the main entrance. Please email info@nationalmuseumsni.org to claim your ticket.

• Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book.
• Attendance Allowance or Carer's Allowance letter of award.
• Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded Incapacity Benefit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
• A valid Blue Badge.
• In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI).
• A local authority registration document which is local to the attraction where it is being submitted.
• A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card.
• Credibility’s Access Card.

Picnics will be allowed on site throughout the festival weekend, and we have a number of benches across the site for you to make use of. We also recommend bringing a chair/blanket so you can sit and enjoy the acts in comfort. An umbrella and/or waterproof is also encouraged as we never know what the weather may do!

Bag searches will take place on entry to the festival, and any prohibited items will be held back. This includes fires, alcohol, glassware and portable BBQ's.

Personal BBQs are not permitted at the festival, however picnics are allowed on site and picnic benches are located across the site. Alternatively, you can purchase food from the variety of vendor’s onsite. As per above FAQ, personal alcohol will not be allowed on-site.

Unfortunately, dogs will not be permitted at the festival. Guide dogs and accessibility assistance dogs will be allowed on site.

In addition to our regular on site facilities located at the Visitor Centre and Dockside Gallery, we will have additional accessible toilets, all with baby changing facilities. By the Main Stage there will also be urinals, and accessible toilets.

All Festival areas are fully accessible, however the only building that has limited access is the Pennsylvanian Farm House which has steps for access.  We have a number of mobility scooters and wheelchairs that can be used during the festival, to enquire about these please email info@nationalmuseumsni.org.

There will be no ATMs on site, however all of our retail, bar and food vendors will accept card as well as cash payments.

We have free car parking facilities at Ulster American Folk Park for over 400 cars and 12 coaches on site as well as an overflow carpark. Space will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.  We would recommend for those attending the festival later in the day that they use an alternative form of transport. 

We don’t have onsite accommodation however there are many high quality B&B’s and hotels throughout the Omagh and West Tyrone area that would love to facilitate your stay. Omagh Rugby Football Club has a number of camping and caravanning options for Bluegrass Omagh 2023.

• 3 Nights: £45.00
• 2 Nights: £35.00
• 1 Night: £25.00

This price includes:

• Camping on site at Rugby Football Club
• Use of kitchen, shower and toilet facilities
• Transfers to and from Ulster American Folk Park via shuttle bus
• Free admission to the picking session on Friday night in the Members Bar
• Free admission to the late night session on Saturday night in the Members Bar. Starting at approximately 11.00pm, this late night session is available to everyone.  A small cover charge will apply to those not using the camping and caravanning facilities.

Yes, you will receive a wristband when you first enter the festival. This will guarantee you re-entry if you need to leave at any point.

While many of the historic buildings will be open and we encourage our visitors to avail of these, many of these spaces will be unmanned. The regular visitor experience will not be delivered during the Festival, however we will still have visitor guides in traditional costume throughout the site. 

General Admission tickets will not be available on the weekend of the Festival. The Folk Park will reopen for general admissions on Tuesday 31st May 2022.

Merchandise can be purchased from our Museum Retail spaces and Bluegrass Artists will be selling merchandise after their set.

A courtesy coach will bring Festival goers to and from Omagh Rugby Club over the weekend. This will increase the use of public transport and reduce the use of private cars to and from the event.

Recycling will be made easy over the weekend with a large segregated recycling waste bank kindly provided by Fermanagh & Omagh District Council which will complement existing measures and reducing the incidence of waste contamination.

Our food & drink vendors will also be segregating and recycling all of their waste over the weekend. They will actively source much of their food and drink supplies from local producers which will reduce the transportation of produce and contribute to sustainability.

The Festival is subject to a local licensing application and we will ensure the programme finishes each night at the designated time. As the event is taking place in a rural setting, with mature trees around the stages, the controls above will reduce the potential for sound pollution to the small number of neighbouring houses.
